Edith Allene Kimbell of Sulphur Springs, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior in Eternal Glory on April 30, 2022 at the age of 84. Edith was born on July 16, 1937 in Hopkins County to Dolly C. Clem and Alvin Clint May. She passed peacefully in Garland, Texas with family by her side.

Edith was retired from Wal-Mart after 15 years of service. She was a devoted member of Davis St. Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs, TX where she praised Jesus and had many friends, she loved and adored. Edith is preceded in death by her parents, brother Truman Clint May, sister Laura L. May, and husband "Sleepy" Kimbell.

She is survived by her brother Stan May, sister Maxine Peters, son Joe Dan Wilson and wife Sue, her grandchildren Paul Wilson and wife Molly, Chasetie Barwick and husband Daniel, Jason Wilson and wife Dottie, Chastity Marie Morales-Hicks, Kirk Wilson, Kristen Wilson, Kali Wilson-Janshego and husband Adam, sixteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

As a mother, grandmother, and sister she was a feisty and strong-willed woman that loved her family and Jesus with her whole heart. She will be missed on this earth but will be watching down on all of us from her heavenly home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Gaston Christian Center, 8515 Greenville Ave, Dallas, Texas 75243. Interment will take place the same day at 3:00pm at Rockdale Cemetery, Sulphur Springs, Texas.
